CHING COMMUNITY GARDENS

After nearly three years, GROW, which is a land trust organization, has successfully purchased the former home of the Ching family in Shoreline and protected this nearly two thirds of an acre property in open space in perpetuity. The garden is located on the east side of Shoreline College.

This achievement marks the end of a long process filled with doubts and setbacks, and it is the joyous beginning for what will become the Ching Community Gardens: an Asian American heritage site, food forest, and P-Patch.

Together with Diggin Shoreline - digginshoreline.org, and a whole host of dedicated volunteers, we are reclaiming the garden and turning it into a gem for the community, both for growing food to share and growing community! Come see our progress, better yet, sign up on Diggin Shoreline's website to volunteer for one of our work parties and help uncover this amazing garden.
